JOURNEY TO MT COOK

The "Truck" needed a new COF and was due for a run so we decided to have an extra day off and head for Aoraki/Mt Cook.
Bendigo picnic area, Lake Dunstan, our lunch stop on the way North.

Our lunch table.

Lake Dunstan

Lindiss Pass

We did a 17k detour into Lake Ohau.

Tuesday arrival day, not the best weather.

After arriving in low cloud and light drizzle on Tuesday we awoke to a beautiful next day.
Glenn Tanner Holiday Park.

Old Mountaineers Cafe & Bar.
Speights Summit Lager (a top beer).

Nachos and beer lunch.

Mt Cook, centre of picture.

We enjoyed a couple of days of quietness and solitude at Glen Tanner Holiday Park after the busyness of Creeksyde.

Lake Pukaki, note the blueness of the water.

Salmon Farm, Ohau River

Feeding the salmon

Reflections Wairepo Arm, Ohau River
