THE BIG CHRISTCHURCH QUAKE SHAKE

4.35 am, 4th Sept, 7.1 earthquake and some of the resulting mess in our housesit at Lyttelton.

The cleanup.

Our very precarious chimney but unlike most around was at least still upright, eventually taken down by the owner later in the day.

After the drama of the early morning it was a beautiful day but interspersed with frequent aftershocks and tremors.
