RECYCLING, WAKATIPU STYLE

Recently some of the staff had a tour of the local recycling centre where a good portion of our rubbish goes as Creeksyde is very conscientious about this.
A bit of a mixed bunch. From 1st left is Richard (Sth Africa), 3rd is Marie Louise (Netherlands) and 4th is Federico (Argentina). The rest are kiwis.

Recyclables begin their journey where they are sorted into their various categories using gravity, air and magnets. This system is one of the most advanced in New Zealand and it only needs two staff to operate.

UP THE REMARKABLES

Yesterday we caught the Ski Shuttle Bus up to the Remarkable skifields, an awesome scenic 45 minute journey on a beautiful winters day.
Frankton, Lake Wakatipu and then onto Queenstown which is about centre of picture.

The road ahead, note car and cross country skiers waiting to be picked up.

FRIENDS OVER THE CROWN RANGE

Crown Range Summit.
We headed up over the Crown Range to overnight with our Lake Hawea friends, Trevor and Pam but first we met up with other friends (Roy & Jean) from over the range for lunch. All in all it was a great couple of days catching up and enjoying Pam and Trevor's A1 hospitality complimented by two days of beautiful weather.

Lunch with friends at Edgewater Resort, Wanaka.
